Forgive and forget? How many people really could.
You can forgive but can't forget, you forgive so the mistake won't repeat agn
You can't forget because it gave you hurt, pain or whatsoever.
But isn't it better than forgetting but not forgiving?

Letting go and the opposite of it is holding on.
